This magnificent antique Edwardian lavaliere necklace is built around four bright green Paste stones with an accompanying array of forty-eight white Paste stones. Each of the stones has been carefully set into intricately crafted Silver galleries which flow upwards in loops and swirls to complement the host of shining stones.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds and require expert craftsmanship to create.
This is a wonderful example of early Edwardian craftsmanship, carrying stylistic touches which pay tribute to the earlier Victorian styles. It is a truly beautiful piece steeped in the history of English jewellery.
